HISTORY
Season
15 was the ROTW Wing’s Sixth Full Season as a Wing.
In
the League Season 15 saw Defending Premiership Champions Qingdao Zhongneng
managed to take control early in the Premiership Season, and stay
there. Although others tried to stay
with them in the end they won the title easily.
CDC
Athletico Nacional had a good season in the 1st Division, and
proved real strong especially after Melbourne Victory had a strong start to
the season, and then they fell away.
CDC Athletico Nacional makes it back in the Premiership after a 4
season wait, whilst Urawa Red
Diamonds who came second will return to the Premiership after a 3 season
wait.
Boca
Juniors had a great season in the Second Division and finally made it out
of the 2nd Division, and will be a strong force to contend
with. Shooting Stars SC finally
found a manager who helped them come second in the 2nd Division,
and with a bit of luck could become a force to be reckoned with in the 1st
Division.
Etoile
Sportive had a ding dong 4 way battle to secure 2nd Division
status in the 3rd Division with Catolica, Liaoning Zhongyu and
Toronto FC. Etoile managed to hold
out towards the end of the season and managed to win the 3rd
Division. Catolica who haven’t got a
manager came 2nd, and if they can just secure a manager could be
a good force in the 2nd Division.
Qingdao
Zhongneng were not only a strong force in the Premiership they were looking
for their third straight title victory in the ROTW Wing Knockout Cup, and
they stormed their way into the final, and looked unbeatable only to be
beaten by former Inter Wing Cup Champions SC Corinthians, who could pull
out a victory on their day against the best.
